Prenatal and Postpartum Coaching
Becoming a parent is a life changing experience. From pregnancy to postpartum and beyond, parenthood is a joyful yet challenging endeavor. Preparing for your baby and recovering afterwards can take a toll on your mental health.
I understand the stress and anxieties you’re feeling, and prenatal and postnatal coaching can help you process these changes and improve your mental health.
A healthy mom equals a healthy baby, and a mother’s mental health is very important.
As a mother myself, I’m passionate about nurturing women on their motherhood journey and addressing all areas of your life including preparing for a baby, navigating changes, and dealing with postpartum depression or any perinatal mood disorders.
How prenatal & postpartum mental health coaching works:
To see if we will be a fit, we’ll first schedule a free phone consultation to talk about your goals and how we might work together. If it’s a fit, I will send you some intake forms to fill out and we can get started.
Each client is unique and the work will vary depending on what is best for the client.
In our first session we will discuss goals for working together and I will come up with a plan that is individually tailored to you and your needs. Some of the modalities I commonly use include CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), positive psychology, empowerment theory, and psychotherapy in our work together.
We will discuss navigating changes as an individual and couple while pregnant and postpartum, how to communicate to your friends and family the best way to support you, and what to look out for regarding postpartum depression or any perinatal mood disorders.
“Rena was incredible to work with. She helped me prepare for the baby in ways I never would have thought about on my own. I felt so much more prepared in the months leading up to the delivery. She also helped me navigate the first few months at home with ease and gentleness. Both my partner and I benefited tremendously from our work together” –Chloe (+Daniel) M.
“This can be such a confusing time and Rena really made me feel safe talking about the different emotions I had about being pregnant and postpartum. I don’t think I would have been comfortable sharing my true feelings with anyone else and I am so happy I had someone to hold space for me and help me unpack everything I was feeling” –Ali C.
